For me, lighting is never just about making sure people can see the stage. It’s about shaping an atmosphere, guiding an audience’s attention, and quietly adding depth to the story being told.

I design with people in mind — performers, audiences, and everyone who makes a show happen. I like to create light that feels natural yet heightened, that can shift seamlessly between moods, and that always serves the production rather than showing off.

I’m drawn to bold colour when it helps define a world, but I also love the subtlety of a perfectly judged fade or a delicate shadow. Texture is a big part of my work: I use light to give a space character, to transform bare walls into landscapes, and to help a stage feel alive.

Every project is different, but my style is consistent: thoughtful, collaborative, and focused on the emotional heart of a piece. I believe the best lighting is felt before it’s noticed — it supports, enhances, and sometimes surprises, but it always tells the story.
